We are in a moment that calls for experience, preparation, and a demonstrated ability to solve complex challenges. Santa Paula is entering a period of transition and opportunity. I believe that we need someone who can step into this moment on day 1 to keep moving Santa Paula forward. Let's keep working together to make our community a place where we can all thrive.

My Priorities for the next 4 years:

• Economic Development:

  • Hire a city employee to focus on Economic Development.

  • ​Support our existing businesses.

  • Attract businesses that offer high-paying jobs.

  • Assess success of permit streamlining efforts and make adjustments as necessary.

  • Increase tourism.
     

• Infrastructure:

  • Streets: Finish paving the rest of our city streets and plan for maintenance going forward to keep them good.

  • Sidewalks, Pedestrian Crossings & Street Lighting: I will advocate for improvements to our sidewalks and street lighting, as well as completing the upgrades to the crosswalks on SR-150/10th Street.

  • Keep Fixing Storm Drains: This is important work for preventing sink holes, especially with the heavy rain events we have been experiencing.
     

• Public Safety:

  • Police: Ensure public safety continues to improve and our officers have the training,  resources and staffing they need to serve our community.

  • Water: Make sure we continue to have safe drinking water.

  • E-Bikes: Making sure our city ordinance is updated so that regulations keep up with emerging technologies. Partner with the Santa Paula Unified School district to educate our families in order to keep our youth safe on the streets.
